Tasting notes
FINE+RARE, Apr 2024

Belle-Brise is one of our favourite Pomerols. The appellation as a whole seemed to thrive in 2023, and Belle-Brise reinforces this view. Refined, silky and harmonious, this has all the elegance we have come to expect from the tiny property. The nose is incredibly defined for such a young wine, while the palate delivers concentrated fruit, with supple, soft, seamlessly ripe tannins and vivid acidity that brings great freshness. Incredibly approachable now, this will also age with ease. A brilliant buy, yet again. Aged in a third new oak, with 13.5% alcohol. Blend: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc

Château Belle-Brise - producer
Belle Brise

Tucked away in Pomerol’s southwest corner Ch. Belle-Brise is the ultimate insider’s Bordeaux. With just two hectares of walled garden vineyard, production at this estate is minuscule, making it one of the rarest wines in the marketplace (and arguably more exclusive than either Pétrus or Le Pin).
